About

I’m a digital media specialist who leveraged 10 years of success in entertainment journalism into tech/social media. I’m now a Social Media Manager at Automattic, where I run and set social strategies for the company’s entire brand suite, including all Tumblr socials and the WordPress TikTok. I manage content creators, oversee storytelling end-to-end, and specialize in marrying my news background with scaling brand accounts that hopefully aren’t too cringe.

In my first year at Automattic, I organically scaled the WordPress TikTok from 0 to 10,000 followers and millions of views. I then mapped this content creator-driven, organic-video-based strategy to Tumblr, leading a rebrand of the platform’s entire social media presence. In doing so, I ushered in a new era of growth, organically scaling their TikTok from 60 to 250K followers in six months, partnering with Sombr, Slayyyter, and Warner Brothers Pictures, generating press, and 20-45M cross-social impressions per month.

In my first year leading Tumblr socials, I spearheaded the first-ever “Ships Week” Valentine’s Day campaign from art design to social copy, generating 15M social impressions, press coverage, and user growth of 16K. I also got Tumblr into a very unserious feud with the singer Halsey, which went viral.

Previously, I wrote and reported on game shows for TV Insider (breaking the site traffic record for a single day) and The U.S. Sun. Before game shows, I covered entertainment and lifestyle for CBS News, Weather.com (leading YouTube strategy), and The Observer, where I had a weekly streaming TV column that my mom loved.

As a stand-up comic, I have performed all over New York City. My one-man show, Piano Boy, was a New York Magazine performance pick, and I was the musical director at Asylum Theater. I had a musical run at the NYC Fringe Festival, and have opened for comedians Nick Kroll (Big Mouth) and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear). I’ve also regularly appeared as an on-camera expert for the Travel Channel.

A native New Yorker (the suburbs, but let me have this), I have interjected my many years of pop cultural curation and being slightly pretentious into a strong, comedic POV. My obsession with trends, hot takes, and what’s next in internet/pop culture has always informed my career and my inability to stop yapping. I live on the Upper East Side with my husband, Max.
